What were the main reasons you wanted to take this class?
Living in Utah pretty much my entire life, I have had many opportunities to view films at the Sundance Film Festival and have greatly enjoyed doing so. I wanted to take this class because I thought is would help inform my viewing of Sundance films in new ways and of documentary in particular.

2. Are you in the Cinema Studies program?
I am currently a Senior in the Integrated Studies Program, my areas of emphasis are Cinema Studies and English

3. Is this your first time going to Sundance?
No, I have gone before.

4. What documentary are you most excited to see?
I am excited to See Butt Naked, When A Tree Falls, and Connected.

5. How is this class different, for better or for worse, than other classes you have taken?
With this class, we dove right into the content, which has been great. Being a block class, it was completely necessary. Jumping right into presentations was different than other classes I have taken. I have enjoyed all the presentations and though we have been speeding through a lot of information I think I am getting quiet a bit out of the presentations.

6. How has this class enriched your education here at UVU?
Combine with below question-
7. How do you think this class fulfills UVU's mission of "Engaged Learning?"
Having experience outside of the classroom is important. Since we live so close in proximity to great film venues, I'm glad we are able to take advantage of that and apply it to our classroom experience.

-RikkiRikki C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05192411790775625775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732419353192522892.post-38642597331552120732011-01-18T18:07:01.960-08:002011-01-18T18:07:01.960-08:001. I am not in the program.
3. Yes! First time for Sundance. I'm excited.
4. I am most excited for Miss Representation and Connected.
5. This class has been great so far. Actually kind of wish it weren't a block class so we could have more time to discuss.
6. I think one of the most enriching aspects of the class was the way we jumped right into the content and began doing presentations and participating in discussions.
7. We're going to be at Sundance! Film students going to a major film festival, meeting directors (hopefully) and asking direct questions to them regarding their films! That's pretty engaged.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04189766410883678406noreply@blogger.com
